無限猴子定理：讓一隻猴子在打字機上隨機地按鍵，當按鍵時間達到無窮時，幾乎必然能夠打出任何給定的文字，比如莎士比亞的全套著作。

在這裡，幾乎必然是一個有特定含義的數學術語，「猴子」也不是一隻真正意義上的猴子，它被用來比喻成一個可以產生無限隨機字母序列的抽象設備。這個理論說明把一個很大但有限的數看成無限的推論是錯誤的。猴子精確地通過鍵盤敲打出一部完整的作品比如說莎士比亞的哈姆雷特，在宇宙的生命周期中發生的機率也是極其低的，但並不是零。

Ans:

乾冰是二氧化碳的凝結固態‧由於乾冰的溫度非常低，相當於攝氏的負78.5度，因此在保持物體維持冷凍或低溫狀態下非常有用 .乾冰能夠急速的冷凍物體和降低溫度並且可以用隔離手套來做配置，現在乾冰已經被廣泛的使用在許多層面了．乾冰在溶解時是由固態直接昇華為氣態，直接轉化為氣體而省略掉轉為液態的程序，因此其融化並不會產生任何水或液體，也因此我們稱它做 ”乾冰“

一般而言,一塊完整的乾冰在24小時之內因為昇華的關係會消耗大約5～10磅，而這昇華所造成的損耗也同樣的在顧客買回去過程中發生，因此，最好在要使用乾冰之前再購買，也就是盡量縮短購買乾冰和真正使用乾冰這期間的時間; 另外，切成小塊的乾冰會比一整塊的乾冰容易昇華，如非必要盡量不要把乾冰切成零碎或小顆粒狀。

乾冰最好不要裸露放在冰箱的冷凍庫，因為如果將乾冰放在冷凍庫的話冰箱的溫度調節器將被關掉，因為冰箱會誤以為溫度太低，這將折損冰箱的壽命，當然如果是在停電或冰箱壞掉的情況下乾冰絕對會讓冷凍庫或冰箱維持在良好的低溫之下的。

在商業運輸上，業者都使用乾冰來避免易腐化的商品腐敗而取代普通的水冰，因為乾冰是水冰重量的一半但冷凍的能量卻是水冰的三倍。也可將乾冰和水冰混合著使用來減少因為全部使用水冰的重量，以乾冰來保持水冰的冷卻持久度。

安全操作的乾冰

小心：
1.切勿讓小朋友單獨接觸乾冰！
2.乾冰非食品，請勿食用！！！

處理

切記在每次接觸乾冰的時候，一定要小心並且用手套或其他遮蔽物才能觸碰乾冰！如果是在長久直接碰觸肌膚的情況下，就可能會造成細胞冷凍而類似輕微或極度嚴重燙傷的傷害。

將乾冰置於一個保溫箱(例如保利龍)．越厚的保溫箱,會使它昇華地慢一點，但切記勿將乾冰儲存於一個密不透氣的容器，這會因乾冰昇華產生壓力甚至可能引起爆炸！另外，在處理乾冰時要記得保持使用人員所在位置是否通風，使用人員千萬不要與乾冰同時置於密閉的房間、汽車、船艙...等地。因為昇華的二氧化碳將替代氧氣而可能引起呼吸急促甚至窒息！

A metal foam is a cellular structure consisting of a solid metal (frequently aluminium) with gas-filled pores comprising a large portion of the volume. The pores can be sealed (closed-cell foam) or interconnected (open-cell foam). The defining characteristic of metal foams is a high porosity: typically only 5–25% of the volume is the base metal. The strength of the material is due to the square–cube law.

Metal foams typically retain some physical properties of their base material. Foam made from non-flammable metal remains non-flammable and can generally be recycled as the base material. Its coefficient of thermal expansion is similar while thermal conductivity is likely reduced.
