Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has countered an argument that companies without
 an ad-supported business model are better off.

祖克柏駁斥一間非廣告營利的公司才是好公司的論點。

"You know, I find that argument, that if you're not paying that somehow we
 can't care about you, to be extremely glib," said Zuckerberg, in an
interview with Vox's Ezra Klein. "And not at all aligned with the truth."

"你懂的，我發現有個觀點叫做假如你不付錢我們就不在乎你" 祖克柏說。
"但這不是事實"

"The reality here is that if you want to build a service that helps connect
 everyone in the world, then there are a lot of people who can't afford
 to pay. And therefore, as with a lot of media, having an
advertising-supported model is the only rational model that can support
 building this service to reach people."

"事實是假如你想要連結世界上所有人，同時有一堆人負擔不起時。"
"那麼，就如同媒體般，最好也最合理的方式就是用廣告的方式來支持這個服務。"

Last week, Apple CEO Tim Cook told Recode's Kara Swisher and MSNBC's Chris
Hayes that his company "could make a ton of money if we monetized our
 customer," but added "we've elected not to do that."

庫克表示："我們可以賺一大把鈔票假如我們把顧客金錢化。"
"但我們早決定不這麼做了。"


Apple's business model is primarily focused on selling products like
iPhones and iPads to customers, rather than targeting users with
advertisements based on their personal information. Facebook, on
the other hand, is a free service that relies on ads for a significant
portion of its revenue.

Apple 主要的商業模式就是賣唉奉唉配，而不是用顧客的個資給廣告公司。
相對之下，臉書一大部分的營利就是靠廣告來撐。

Cook, who said Apple views privacy as a "human right," believes that
Facebook shouldn't have the ability to collect as much information as
it does.

庫克表示Apple視隱私權為人權之一，認為臉書不該這樣。

"The ability of anyone to know what you've been browsing about for
years, who your contacts are, who their contacts are, things you
like and dislike and every intimate detail of your life -- from
my own point of view it shouldn't exist," said Cook, speaking at
the annual China Development Forum last week.

"我覺得是這樣，任何人知道你瀏覽啥，喜歡啥，你的聯絡人有誰，還有一堆你
生活細節的事情，這件事情不該存在" 庫克在中國發展會表示 (中國人表示:...)

Zuckerberg argued that while Facebook is "squarely in the camp of the
companies that work hard to charge you less and provide a free service
that everyone can use," it doesn't mean the company doesn't care about
people.

祖克柏主張臉書是很真誠努力的在提供一個免費服務同時從你身上擷取越來越少。
這不代表臉書不在乎人們。

"I don't think at all that that means that we don't care about people.
To the contrary, I think it's important that we don't all get Stockholm
Syndrome and let the companies that work hard to charge you more
convince you that they actually care more about you. Because that
sounds ridiculous to me."

"我完全不認為我們不在乎人們。
相反地，我認為我們不該像北七，相信一間一直狂跟我們討錢的公司，卻說
喔，我們很在乎你唷，因為這對我來說很刺耳荒謬R"
