Q. On signing at the last minute
A. We were running out of time. The deal was finalized with 7 minutes to spare.
I was more relieved than I was happy when it was all done.
(Go's 30-day negotiating period ended at 2 pm PT Wednesday. Go had multiple flig
ht delays en route to SD.)

Q. On taking posting path instead of free agency a year later (1/2)

對於選擇入札，而非再等一年FA

A. I began preparing for posting before 2023 season, but then I didn't have such
 a great year. (15 SV, 3.68 ERA vs. 42 SV, 1.48 ERA in 2022). More than anything
, I was curious to see how MLB teams would see me.

A. People told me I could've made more money if I had waited a year and signed a
s a free agent. But I took this path because I wanted to return to the LG Twins
later.
(Because Go left via posting, the Twins still have rights to him if he chooses t
o return to the KBO later)

至於選擇入札是因為他以後回國想要回LG

韓職入札選手歸國是只能回母隊


Q. On Twins agreeing to post him and then letting him sign with Padres
A. I am very thankful for everything they'vedone for me. The posting fee from m
y contract ($900K) is nothing compared to much bigger contracts. But they still
supported my dream.

A. I've seen a few other (less pleasant) plays on my name (laughs). I wasn't off
ended. I just felt lucky that I got my name out there. I'd like to thank my pare
nts for giving me this name.

有注意到自己名字被熱烈討論

但他沒有覺得被冒犯之類的

反而感謝父母給他這名字
