另外，給有心要飼養鼠魚的板友一點小小心得:

飼養鼠魚時，建議可準備有水流的過濾設備

這樣就可觀察到鼠魚成群結隊在出水口處衝浪的奇觀

飼養環境上，可搭配底沙和木、石材模擬原棲息地供鼠魚休憩

但切記底沙和石材部分須慎選，避免尖銳多角之樣式，多採用圓滑的部分

如此一來可避免鼠魚受驚訝或爭食亂竄時，一不小心而碰傷了身體或唇鬚
