明褒暗貶
若照字面翻譯，原文也就是「以微弱的讚賞來指責」
「He was so jealous of his colleague’s talent that he tried to damn him with faint praise.」
「他很妒忌他同事的才能，所以試著對他明褒暗貶。」
delay doing sth.
拖延做某事
如果要表示沒有任何拖延、without any delay則是即刻的意思。
「Please don’t delay doing your homework.」
「請不要拖延做你的作業。」

delight oneself with
以…自娛
delight即愉快之意。
「 He delights himself with his riches.」
「他以他的財富自娛。」
deny doing sth.
否認做某事
「He denied stealing the car.」
「他否認偷了汽車。」
