bait sb. of sth.
以某物誘惑某人
bait有餌的意思。
「He baited the boy of a cake.」
「他用蛋糕來誘惑小男孩。」

bang at the door
用力敲門
bang本身即能用來形容「砰」的聲響，bang the door shut則有用力關門的意思。
「It’s not polite to bang at the door.」
「用力敲門是件不禮貌的事。」
barrier to
成為…障礙
「The color of one’s skin shouldn’t be a barrier to success.」
「一個人的膚色不該成為成功的障礙。」

be able to 強調通過努力獲得的能力，而can強調自身已有的能力。
「He will be able to sing this song in English in a few minutes, too.」
