The Nets deserve credit for blitzing George and getting the ball out of his
hands, but it was not the offensive effort the Sixers needed from him when
considering the circumstances.

"They just blitzed me," George started. "They just blitzed me every time I
had the ball. Whether it was pick-and-rolls when I had up top. I tried to
counter that by playing through my teammates. Try to make the game easy. We
got good shots for the most part. Just wasn’t enough shots made."
George:「他們不斷包夾我，每次我拿到球，擋拆或高位持球，他們都對我進行包夾。

Maybe it's the injuries catching up to him? George has dealt with a variety
of issues throughout the season including two bone bruises in his left knee
and now the split on his left pinky. All of it has been an issue for him as
he works his way through the season. Maybe he just needs the All-Star break
to get going.

couple weeks has been tough on my body. Just been growing. Just been
lingering so this time off should definitely help. Tonight, I didn’t have no
burst. It bothered me, but I tried to be available, but this break is
definitely needed."

He has now played five games with that splint on his left pinky. All of it is
an adjustment to him at the moment and that could be a reason for the poor
effort on Wednesday.

"It’s tough," he explained. "The pain pretty much went down, but little
things like ball handling, catching it, going left at moments. There were a
couple plays tonight that were bobbled a little bit just because I
essentially play like this (he lifted his hands with his left pinky in the
air) all game. It’s frustrating, but it is what it is."

The break will do well for George, but he will still have to find a way to
deal with the pinky issue and figure out the best way to handle it when the
Sixers return to play on Feb. 20.

"It is what it is," George said of the issue. "I’m gonna have to always play
like this. I just gotta work around it. Hopefully, the splint gets smaller
and smaller and the pinky has a little bit more range and mobility as opposed
to just being in the air all game so I doubt things will change in five
games, but just it is what it is again, at this point."
