◥ 關係子句中 जहाँ, जिधर, जितना, जैसा 用法 ◤
一、जहाँ
कहाँ : where
जहाँ: 關係子句中 कहाँ 的功能
1. I'll live (right there), where the climate is good.
→ जहाँ मौसम अच्छा होगा, मैँ वहीं रहूँगी |
2. Where there's smoke, there's fire.
→ जहाँ धुंआ है, वहाँ आग भी है |
3. Wherever he went, he made lots of friends.
→ जहाँ जहाँ वह गया, वहाँ वहाँ उसने बहुत दोस्त बनये |
二、जिधर
किधर: where to/from
जिधर: 關係子句中 किधर 的功能，जहाँ 有時可代替 जिधर ( 如果是指行動而非位置)
इधर/उधर: adv, this/that side/way
1. Where I go, she follows me.
→ जिधर मैं जाता हूँ, वह मेरे पीछे आती है |
2. Wherever you look in this country, there’s greenery.
→ इस देश में जिधर भी देखो, उधर ही हरियाली है |
3. There was little water in the place where he came from. (From where he came from there was a lack of water.)
→ जिधर से वह आया है, उधर पानी की कमी थी |
三、जैसा
कैसा: how (adj)
जैसा: 關係子句 कैसा(adj) 的功能; (a) similar to, like, resembling; (adv) as, like, such as
वैसा/यैसा: (a) of that kind/nature, like that, such as that; —ही exactly like that, of that very type/manner.
1. There isn't a house in the village like this. (How his house is, that is nowhere in the village.)
→ जैसा उसका घर है, गाँव में वैसा कहीं नहीं |
2. His handwriting is like mine. (How my handwriting is, his is too.)
→ जैसी मेरी लिखाई है, वैसी ही उसकी है |
3. No one can sing the way he sings. (How he sings, nobody can sing like that.)
→ जैसा वह गाता है, वैसा कोई नहीं गा समता |
4. As (How) you wish.
→ जैसी तुम्हारी इच्छा |
5. As the water rose, people moved back.
→ जैसे पानी बढ़ा, लोग पीछे हटे |
四、जितना
कितना: how much, how many (adj)
जितना: 關係子句 कितना (adj) 的功能; as much as; ~ने as many (as);
उससे: thereby, thereto, therefrom
उतना: (a) that much, to that extent.
1. You spend as much as you earn. (How much you earn, that much you spend.)
→ जितना कमाओ, उससे ज़्यादा न खर्चो |
2. Nowhere else is there as much beauty as what i saw in Nepal. (How much beauty I have seen in Nepal, that is nowhere.)
→ जितनी सुनदरता मैंने नेपाल देखी, उतना कहीं नहीं है |
3. All those people who came to see the play liked it.
→ जितने लोग नाटक देखने आये, उन सबको नाटक पसंद हुआ |
4. There are more empty houses than ones where people live. (...than those in which people live.)
→ जितने घरों में लोग रहते हैं, उससे ज़्यादा घर खाली है |
