An East Yorkshire goat farm is one of 200 employers shamed on the Government
website for falling short of paying staff the minimum wage.

東約克郡的一個山羊農場是因未支付最低工資而被政府點名的200名雇主之一。

Yorkshire Dairy Goats, based in the East Riding, failed to pay ￡2,151.22 to
four of its workers.

位於 East Riding 的 Yorkshire Dairy Goats 未能向四名工人支付 2,151.22 英鎊。

A statement on the Government website reads: "The Government is naming and
shaming businesses which failed to pay the minimum wage to 12,000 of the
lowest paid workers."

政府網站上的一份聲明寫道：“政府正在點名未能向 12,000 名最低工資工人支付最低工
資的企業。”

It also states that the "naming and shaming" of these companies acts as "a
clear message no employer is exempt from paying their workers the statutory
minimum wage."

它還指出，這些公司的“點名和羞辱”是一個明確的資訊，沒有雇主可以免除向工人支
付法定最低工資。”

Businesses found to be paying their staff below the minimum wage have had to
pay back what they owe staff and have also had to pay significant financial
penalties to the government - up to 200% of the owed amount.

被發現支付員工工資低於最低工資的企業必須償還他們欠員工的錢，還必須向政府支付巨
額罰款——最高可達欠款的 200%。

The employers that have made the list have failed to pay their staff ￡1.2
million in total, breaching the National Minimum Wage law and collectively
leaving around 12,000 workers out of pocket.

Named companies vary from multinational businesses and large high street
names to SMEs and sole traders.

Minister for Labour Markets Paul Scully said: "We want workers to know that we
’re on their side and they must be treated fairly by their employers, which
is why paying the legal minimum wage should be non-negotiable for businesses.

勞動力市場部長保羅· 史卡利（Paul Scully）說：“我們希望工人知道我們站在他們一
邊，雇主必須公平對待他們，這就是為什麼支付法定最低工資對企業來說是不可妥協的。
