The Sunflower story has sparked much discussions in Taiwan. Here is a message
that has been emailed to the Dallas Blog, which has already been forwarded
hundreds of times:

這篇文章在台灣引起大量討論，以下是一封Dallas Blog收到的信:

 Dear Mr. McGregor,

Please immediately retract the false article on the tragic stabbing on the
Taipei Metro on May 21. Your accusation that there might be any link
whatsoever between the suspect and the 318 Sunflower Movement is both
absolutely baseless and dangerous. In fact, the suspect's university office
of secretariat clarified Cheng did not participate in the protest.

McGregor先生，請立刻收回這篇關於這場悲劇的錯誤文章
你指控兇嫌與太陽花學運有關聯不但沒有證據且危險
兇嫌就讀學校的校方已經澄清鄭捷沒有參加學運


As a Taiwan citizen, I have been closely following both the Sunflower
Movement as well as the media coverage of the incident, I can assure you that
there is no such link. Also, your comparison between the Sunflower Movement
and the red guards is inappropriate.

身為台灣公民，我相當關注學運以及此次事件的媒體報導
我可以向你保證比之間沒有關聯
而且，你將紅衛兵拿來比喻太陽花學運是非常不是當的
