◥ 持續性助動詞 रहना ◤
助動詞 रहना 放在主動詞的未完成式分詞後頭，會讓整個動作有"持續、不斷"的意味，同英文裡的"keep on, continue (verb on)"
1. देखता रहना: to keep on watching, to continue to watch
2. सोता रहना: to keep on sleeping, to continue to sleep
例句:
1. We kept on playing cards all night long.
→ हम लोग रात भर ताश देखते रहे |
2. I loved you, I love you, and I will keep on loving you forever.
→ मैं तुमसे पयार करता था, करता हूँ, और हमेशा करता रहूँगा |
3. Mother said no, but he kept on watching television.
→ माँ ने मना किया, पर वह टीवी खेलता रहा |
4. It was raining, but he walked on.
→ बारिश हो रही थी, पर वह चलता रहा |
動詞的未完成時態已經足夠傳達該動作是"習慣、經常性的"，加上助動詞 रहना，有更加強調習慣性的意味。
例句:
1. I often eat in the restaurant
→ मैं रेस्टोरेंट में अक्सर खाता हूँ |
2. I often eat in the restaurant. (I always eat in the restaurant.)
→ मैं रेस्टोरेंट मे खाता रहता हूँ |
需注意的是: रहना 是不及物動詞，不能與施事格同用。
